I have had an exceptionally busy day today and as a result I am a bit grumpy and am trying to see how far I can stretch mum and dad's patience by grizzling flat out. It is really their fault anyway, because they missed out on getting a photographic record of a momentous occasion today... my first walk... no not my first steps, my first trip out for a walk (me in the pram). Can you imagine, Mum and Dad got the nappy bag, the pram, the shade cover, the bunny rugs, even a good CD for the drive to the walking track and what did they forget? The camera, honestly I don't blame Mum it is Dad who is hopeless!
After we got home though I had a feed and that put a smile on my dial (please see below), I think that is the first time that Dad has managed to capture my grin on camera I usually only do it when there is no camera around, but I was distracted and happy (who can blame me, breast feeding rocks!) so he managed to get this shot in.
You can see how I quickly tried to go back to a non smiling pose, but not fast enough I am afraid.
The other thing that I am immensely proud of is that since I pretty much made Dad sleep in a crap camp stretcher in a hospital for 2 weeks, he decided that he needed to go to his Osteo for what he referred to as a "post hospital stay - baby and sick mum related back disorder". I am only 2 weeks old and I am already causing dad back pain. Here is the thing though, when Dad got back from the Osteo he had this beautiful sounding chime that he hung on my cot, it turns out that it is 26 years old and belonged to the children of Dad's osteo Mike. Apparently Mike was so happy that I was born that he gave this gift to me without even meeting me, he is definitely a nice fella, not to mention the fact that he stopped Dad from moaning about a sore back for more than 5 minutes which is an achievement on it's own!
I made dad get a pic of the chime to hang below, what a fantastic gift.
Anyway I have just about used up my allowable internet time for tonight so I had better get off the computer before Mum growls.
Good Night all,
Paddy
